Nemø Ensemble

Flat Time Trilogy, the title of this concert originates with Óscar Escudero and Belenish Moreno-Gil. Their multimedia compositions OST, POV and HOC always start a dialogue between a soloist (voice, saxophone, percussion) and the virtual world in an intense mix of music, multimedia and theatrical elements. Good for three exciting explorations of the ambiguous relationship between the soloist’s reality and their digital polar opposite in which it gets embroiled. The three solo pieces are accompanied by ensemble pieces by Igor Silva and Karel Stulens which use the TV culture and swiping on smartphones as their respective points of departure. In short, this is ideal material for the young, digital-native generation of Flanders’ Nemø Ensemble.
