Ictus

In 2015 Eva Reiter wrote The Lichtenberg Figures for Ictus. A large-scale work for soprano, ensemble and electronics, it was described as a cross between Fausto Romitelli and Laurie Anderson. She’s made this larger work into a compact version, with fewer baroque details, more musical intensity, and with the composer herself singing and playing the recorder. It’s a powerful contemporary statement, with splash of grating noise and generous dash of psychedelic rock – in other words, a perfect job for Ictus and in keeping with our tradition: an exhilarating closing concert.
