Quatuor Danel - Plamena Mangova

Not all lesser-known composers are justly forgotten. The Quatuor Danel has done all it can to put Mieczysław Weinberg back on the map, crowning their efforts with a recording of his complete string quartets.

The music of the female Polish composer Grażyna Bacewicz, despite its unbelievable emotional power and daring, still has a long road ahead, which is why the Danels and pianist Plamena Mangova are also working hard to put her on the map.

Like we did last year with Gubaidulina and Ustvolskaya, this year’s Festival 20/21 has another great 20th-century female composer waiting to knock your socks off!
