Chernyshkov, Steen-Andersen, Streich, Maierhof

It looks like an obstacle course: while the musicians are trying to play a piece by Beethoven, their instruments are being taken apart. A bit farther away with Lisa Streich, a motorised cello seems to be living a life of its own. The Russian com- poser Alexander Chernyshkov also plays with motors in his new work, but these have a dialogue with four musicians. Michael Maierhof will unfold another buzzing circus with the lead role played by prepared electric toothbrushes. The audience is free to wander about in the sea of sound like they can in a museum.
