Stefan Prins

Lecture

Few composers have recently used multimedia and technological elements as sharp instruments to dissect contemporary society the way Stefan Prins has, and it’s also given him a huge international reception. Using themes like computer games, virtual reality and prostheses in his music, Prins explores the boundaries of what is and is not virtual, what is human and what is technological. During Transit, the composer will talk in more detail about what this means to him, using fragments from his most recent works as illustration. You’ll just have to wait to find out if he’ll give this lecture live in person or will project himself as a hologram …
