B'Rock

The Transit opening concert will bring together old and new. Actually, the urge to experiment and innovate in new music is not so different from the spirit of adventure with which ‘historical performance practice’ makes early music come alive.

B’Rock, Flanders’ most exciting baroque ensemble, will ‘face the music’, playing brand new works composed especially for this production. You’ll enter a surprising sonic world in which gut strings, lute and harpsichord get a contemporary gloss. Each composer will add an element of their own to the baroque forces, from work for sho by Wim Henderickx and the vocal stylings of Reza Namavar to the electronic input from turntable wizard Matt Wright.
